Giving Thanks 2020 – Weeks Twenty-Seven to Thirty-One

Where has the time gone, my friends? I last wrote on the 28th of June and now we are in August. I’ll try to make this regular, but no promises. Life is just too crazy. But hey, if there is any consolation, I’ve been writing more? And drinking even more. Continue reading Giving Thanks 2020 – Weeks Twenty-Seven to Thirty-One

🙋🏽‍♀️ Hello, it’s me.
Probably should’ve been my first picture but remember what I told you about the grid? 😅
It’s been a hot minute since I posted here. Don’t get me wrong, I do consume a lot of Instagram, I just don’t proactively post here. Why? I don’t really know actually. I think I over think the process. I try to make sure that my grid is aligned with one another, the pictures have meaning and in general, on there being some sort of a running themes, at least among the rows. A lot of work for a regular Instagram account I think but I really find it difficult to keep this space ‘instant’ 🤷🏽‍♀️ But then again, what is social media if not a curated account of our lives.
In the last post of our grid on suicide awareness and suicide prevention in lieu of #suicidepreventionmonth I think it’s time to talk about death and impermanence. Before that, I want to say thank you to all those who reached out during the past few days, weeks, months as we all collectively struggled to get through these trying times. Thank you for sharing your stories with me and also, thank you for checking on me - it’s not always that I admit that things are not okay, it’s all so difficult to keep up with pretences these days, let alone the Kardashians, and it’s nice to know that people genuinely care. So thank you to all those who have been kind and reached out, it will never be forgotten.
Continuing our grid of sunsets and discussion on mental health, today’s post is on anxiety and vulnerabilities. Is it just me, my possible period and bad nutrition and sleep habits or is anyone feeling extra vulnerable these days? Lonely even? I’ve been alone most of the time and done many things alone growing up for as long as I can remember, (please note I said “most of the time” and “many”) and my wild imagination that doesn’t translate into good writing, however, instead, brought me the company of delightful friends. Since I was nine, I’ve never been bored or lonely because well, my imagination saved me for most of the part.
Hello! 🙋🏽‍♀️ How have you been? It’s been so long since I was last here, it really is quite a task to keep up with a curated Instagram feed isn’t it? Since I was last here, I’m happy to say that my blonde locks are back and I feel very validated in life rn. I know, it’s going to be three more pictures of sunsets, but hey, as I post one of my favourite times of the day here, I also want to talk a bit about something that’s also very important to me, mental health.
